On the occasion of the 57 Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Song Aiguo, ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Turkey held reception at Ankara Swiss Hotel on Sep. 28. H.E. Mr. Demirel, the 9th President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Çiçek, Turkish Justice Minister and government spokesman, H.E. Mr. Tüzman, Turkish State Minister and other guests from the Turkish government, parliament, armed forces, political parties and other fields, ambassadors accredited in Ankara, representatives of the Chinese-funded enterprises, overseas Chinese and Chinese students in Turkey totaling over 800 people attended the reception.

Within a friendly and warm atmosphere, the guests highly praised the brilliant success achieved in the economic, political, cultural and social development since the founding of the People's Republic of China, especially since China had adopted the policy of reform and opening-up to the world, and wished the friendly co-operation between China and Turkey would continue to develop deeply and smoothly. During the reception, VCDs featuring "Harmonious China" and "2008 Beijing Olympics" were showed and pictures of the landscape of China exhibited.
